Ananya Releases New Song “My Darling New York”
London-based singer-songwriter Ananya released her brand new single called “My Darling New York” on November 7, 2025.
The song is a love letter to New York, exploring the tension between nostalgia and healing, and the confusing beauty of revisiting something that once meant everything.
She reflects on the place that shaped and challenged her and eventually left its mark.
It was written by Ananya Kouds and produced by Patch Boshell,
Ananya said of the song, “'My Darling New York' is about acceptance and learning to make peace with something that once defined you, even if it hurt you. It's about the beauty and ache of nostalgia, and the quiet strength that comes from letting go while still holding love for what once was.”- She continued, “It's really about the push and pull between moving and holding on, the balance between independence and longing. I wanted to capture that mix of tenderness and honesty, the feeling of looking back with gratitude rather than regret.”
She aded, “Writing this reminded me that closure isn't always forgetting, it can be about learning to remember differently. Here's a love letter I wrote to growth & gratitude.. but most importantly, to My Darling New York.” -
