Girl Group Releases New Song “She Goes”
Liverpool-based pop band Girl Group, consisting of Katya Birkeland, Lily Christlow, Thea Gundersen, Mia Halvorsen and Maria Tollisen, released a new song “She Goes” on November 7, 2025.
The song is accompanied by the Katya Madeleine-directed music video.
It is the second single since the debut EP “Think They’re Looking, Let's Perform”, following “Rage Song” released last month.
The track was written by Katya Madeleine Birkeland, Lily Kitten Christlow, Maria Olsen Tollisen, Mia Gørvell Halvorsen, and Thea Tytingvåg Gundersen. Produced by Girl Group and Maria Olsen Tollisen.
The band said of he song, “Every now and then, you see a girl walking down the street who epitomises everything you want to be – the way she moves, looks and sounds. She appears to be of another world, a god; the concept of her having mortal fallibility is ridiculous. This admiration is often mingled with confusion. Do I want to be her, or be her best friend? Or would I actually like to kiss her on the lips?”- They added, “She Goes is our attempt at capturing the complexity of girl-girl admiration. Seeing THAT girl walk down the street inspires in us many different feelings; bewilderment, jealousy, love?”
The band said of the video, “It’s super cool music video (made by Katya). Please accept this borderline obsessive inner-monologue as a token of our admiration for hot chicks. Also starring Mia’s iconic sister Sara Ruud Halvorsen.” - source : Apple Music
