Jimmy Eat World Announces New EP “Something(s) Loud”, Shares New Song “Failure”

American rock band Jimmy Eat World, consisting of Jim Adkins (guitar/vocals), Tom Linton (rhythm guitar), Zach Lind (drums) and Rick Burch (bass), has announced their upcoming EP “Something(s) Loud” will be released on November 14, 2025 via their own label Exotic Location Recordings.
The EP comprises 6 tracks, including formerly digital-only singles “Something Loud”, “Place Your Debts”, and a cover of of Crooked Fingers' “Call to Love” featuring Bethany Cosentino, along with an acoustic version of “Something Loud” and a TW Walsh remix of “Place Your Debts” and one new song. Also the EP will be released as vinyl on the same day.
From the EP, the band released a new song “Failure” on November 3, 2025.
Originally, the song was recorded in 2019 for the Surviving sessions. It was written by James Christopher Adkins, Richard E Burch, Thomas Darrell Linton, and Zachary Michael Lind.
The accompanying music video was directed by Keith Koenig.- The band lead singer Jim Adkins said of the EP “By 2021, it felt like distancing restrictions were finally easing and we could get back on the road. Our Surviving album had barely been released before we were performing live again and reconnecting with fans. Coming out of the pandemic, it didn’t feel right to tour without offering something more, so we took the chance to share a few more tracks we’d been working on. At the time, it seemed like listeners were gravitating toward playlists rather than full albums, so we decided to meet them where they were.”
