Kilu Premieres New Song “i don't wanna die today” on BBC Radio 1
London-based singer-songwriter Kilu premiered a new song “i don't wanna die today” on BBC Radio 1's Future Artists with Sian Eleri.
The song will appear on his upcoming two part project, which is expected to be released in early 2016.
It was written by Jamie Rendle, Lukas Pentland, and Samuel Ellwood. Produced by Jamie Rendle and Kilu.
The accompanying lyric video was directed by Sam Ellwood.
Kilu told Sian Eleri about the song, “When writing this one, I think it just came back to like my roots. My root influences, like my parents, just like chugged alt rock, '90s, 2000s American and British bands, just like Radiohead, Coldplay, Nirvana. And it feels so good to finally be making that world of music come to life in kind of my own way. It feels really nice. I feel just feels very natural to go into that world. And I'm really excited to just build this new era and see where it takes me. So far, so good.”- He continued, “It's literally the reason I think I'm alive. It's crazy. 'i don't wanna die today', I mean, it just came out now, but it's definitely my core. The core of why the music. And it makes it very just kind of free flowing, like time is, there's no real pressure on kind of when the songs will be heard. To me, this is my plan. There's no plan B. There's no plan C. The title said that, oh, now I'm really happy, and I just feel like there's so much to live for everyone. Everyone has so much to live for. Everyone has so much to offer. I'm just, like, so passionate about what I do, and I think I'm just thank the world for making my passion my purpose.”

He shared on social media, “This song is lowkey/highkey my favourite track ever. I've had this feeling this year, for the first time, a fear of dying that I think came from the realisation that I was happy and have so much I want to do still! this song is about breaking from the system, living your life the way you want to - you dictate where you want to go, trust your passion can take you places.” - source : BBC Radio 1
