Sienna Melgoza Releases New Song “Hate It When I See Ya”

Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter Sienna Melgoza released a new song “Hate It When I See Ya” on October 31, 2025.
The song is a heartfelt anthem about love, loss, and the struggle of letting go after a separation that ended too kindly.
“Holding onto what I had with you and me / Hanging onto everything we used to be / Thought I could erase all of these memories / But I hate it when I see ya...” The lyrics capture the agony of conflicting feelings in romance, the struggle of moving forward, but pulling back because of those unfading memories, creating an emotional tug-of-war.
It was written by Aaron Brohman, Ashley Mehta, Caleb Hulin, and Sienna Melgoza. Produced by Caleb Hulin.
The track is her fifth single in her music career debut, following “see you tomorrow?”, “differently now”, “CUT”, and “stitched on my tongue”.- Sienna Melgoza said of the song, “'Hate It When I See Ya' is literally about being so infatuated with someone that you hate being around them. It hurts too much to know you both live two completely separate lives now, and you know nothing about theirs anymore. This song recalls my experience of dealing with a breakup that ended on good terms, which, in hindsight, made it way harder to move on.”
She continued, “I wrote this song when I was 16. I truly never thought i'd release it but the moment fell into place and i couldn't be more ecstatic to share it.” -
She added, “If you've ever loved someone so much that you can't stand being in the same room as them, because it brings back an overwhelming amount of love that has no where to go because you aren't allowed to share it with them anymore (am I being too specific), then this song definitely will fill that space for you (as it has for me).” - source : Apple Music
