Los Angeles-based Afro-Dominican singer-songwriter and actress michelle núñez released a new song “i'm fine, i'm okay” on October 30, 2025.
The song is the third single in her music career debut, following “making the most of it” and “california, home”.
The track focuses on the contrast between showing up in the world and silently trying to hold yourself together, capturing the most honest lie we tell: “I'm fine.”
It was written by michelle núñez, and Yoosuf Blake, who also produced the track.
michelle núñez said of the song, “It's an anthem for those navigating the daily battles of being human, moving forward one step at a time, putting a smile on their face, all while their well-being is weighed down by grief, expectations, or life's relentless exhaustion. It says: I'm not always okay. But I'm trying. And maybe that's enough.”- She added, “I wrote a song called 'i'm fine, i'm okay' all about the brave face I (we?) wear while quietly falling apart. Yoosuf Blake did his thing producing (it's his birthday today!!!) and we had Tom Goss come through with some sexy bass!!”
