Now, Now Returns With New EP “01”
Minneapolis-based electro-pop duo Now, Now, consisting of Acacia Dalager (vocals/guitar) and Bradley Hale (drums), returned with a new EP “01” on October 29, 2025.
This marks their first project in seven years since the 2018 album “Saved”.
For Acacia Dalager, the EP follows her debut solo album “Think I'm Gonna Die”, which was released as KC Rae in 2023.
The EP comprises 4 tracks, which were written and produced by Acacia Dalager and Bradley Hale.
According to a press release, the songs have been in the works since the late 2010s and they were also a result of spending time in their basement studio toying with new gear.
The band drummer Bradley Hale said of the EP, “We aren't the type of band that can just churn things out for the sake of churning them out. We really have to be in a very specific place to start making new music.”- He continued, “I think these songs are really a great example of the culmination of everything we've learned over the 23 years of making music together. I've gotten a lot of fun gear over the years that we've been using, lately some vintage digital reverbs that have been great to incorporate.”
Acacia Dalager told The FADER about the EP title, “It is called 01 for a reason. What we were discussing earlier, it was a little bit of a capsule of the time. It's a past version of self. Things that I've learned about myself that I don't feel are true. Things I had to unlearn about myself. These four songs all felt thematically in that container.” -
