Imogen Heap Releases New Music Video for “I AM ___”
British electro-pop singer-songwriter Imogen Heap released a new music video for “I AM ___” on October 24, 2025.
The 3-minute and 33-second song consists of the previously released songs “What Have You Done To Me?”, “Noise”, and “Aftercare”.
But the track was written and intended to be listened to in its full form.
It was written and produced by Imogen Heap.
The video was directed by London-based Ukrainian director Daria Korsak. This marks her directorial debut.
Imogen Heap said of the song, “You may have heard the piece in sections over the last year but it was always written and intended to be listened in its full form. The piece rests rather satisfyingly at the final time stamp of 13:33. For the both of us (Imogen Heap and Daria Korsak), we've lived this on and off for 3-4 years. This offering nearly broke both Daria and myself for different reasons. What she has pulled off whether her first video or not, is an incredibly ambitious feat. From conception to delivery. What a talent. At 26 just last week, so much ahead of her…. If this hasn't put her off entirely!”- She continued, “The process of music and video ended up being inextricably tied to one another the longer the song became. A bit torn on how you experience this for the first time. The musician and composer in me wants you to listen first, to gather your own meaning without the visual cues and associations. But as a friend and fan of Daria, I want you to see the video first if there was a chance we only got your attention once for 13:33.”
She added, “Either way, I hope this song takes you to places it took me throughout a transformation mentally and physically I felt I took throughout. I had to live it to write it. An awakening. An unravelling.” -
She said, “We worked with nearly 100 collaborators over the past years on this. Personally, by a far margin, It's the most I've ever worked on a song clocking in over 1000 hours for sure.
