Tyla Premieres New Song “CHANEL” on BBC Radio 1

South African singer-songwriter Tyla premiered a new song “CHANEL” on BBC Radio 1's New Music Show with Jack Saunders.
The song is her first solo music since the EP “WWP”, which was released back in July.
As the single, the song is the follow-up to the collaborative song Body Go with MOLIY, which was released on October 17, 2025.
It was written by Badriia Bourelly, Douglas Ford, Ian Kirkpatrick, and Richard Olowaranta Mbu Isong. Produced by Ian Kirkpatrick and P2J.
The accompanying music video was directed by Aerin Moreno.
Tyla told Jack Saunders about the song, “This song is for all the girlies that not only want to be put in Chanel, but also want to be treated like luxury. I love the song, guys. I'm literally obsessed. Worked on this with maybe Douglas Ford, P2J. And it's just hard. It's not only about obviously literally Chanel and getting spoiled as a girl. Just speaking about the girl I am, what I'm worth, what I deserve. And also just the thought of being treated like luxury, treated like I'm worth Chanel and worth even more.”- She continued, “I think it's all about literally, authenticity and loving yourself for who you are, loving your body for what it is, loving your personality for what it is. Everyone is unique. Everyone has their own thing in the world that only you have and no one else has. So I think just stepping into that and only that really is something that, for me, personally, made me realize my worth in the world.”
