Mel Denisse Releases New Song “going nowhere”
Nashville-based alt-rock singer-songwriter Mel Denisse released a new song “going nowhere” on October 24, 2025.
The song is follow-up to “Like a Fiend” released back in May.
Both songs will appear on her upcoming debut EP, which is expected to be released in early 2026.
The track was inspired by the fantasy book “The Serpent and the Wings of Night” by American author Carissa Broadbent.
The song carries a nostalgic and reflective atmosphere, delving into themes of survival by staying unseen, loyalty, self-preservation, and moving forward with nowhere to land.
It was written by Mel Denisse, and Stephen Laurenson. Produced by Stephen Laurenson and Micah Tawlks.
Her new music overall has crossovers with fantasy books and is a large part of her writing, on her debut EP.- Mel Denisse said of her music, “I like to 'frankenstein' a track. If a heavy riff and a delicate melody look wrong together on paper, that's exactly what pulls me in. If the song makes you feel a gentle gut-punch–that's the point. I'm slipping mirrors into the track so you have to sit with whatever stares back.”
