Olly Murs Releases New Song “Run This Town”
British singer-songwriter Olly Murs released the third single called “Run This Town”from his upcoming eighth studio album “Knees Up” on October 24, 2025.
The album is set to be released on November 21, 2025 via BMG.
Alongside the release of the song, Olly Murs announced he will perform at London's O2 Forum Kentish Town on December 8, 2025.
The song was co-written by producer Mark Taylor and Samuel Preston. Olly Murs recorded it at Metrophonic Studios in London.
Olly Murs said of the song, “This song's been with me since my first album back in 2010. I've always loved it, but it never quite found the right moment... until now. It's got that Madness-style energy that I've always wanted to tap into. When I started working on the 'Knees Up' album late last year with the style of songs I was writing it finally felt like the right time to bring it to life and add it to the mix. I've wanted to release this one for years and now it's time!”- He shared on social media, “It's Mad. I demoed this one back in 2010 after Samuel Preston wrote it. I've never stopped listening to it!! 15 years later whilst writing this album, I was like... nah this song gotta be on it it's such a tune! This song has always giving me kooks vibes, with a bit of madness and course the ordinary boys frontman Preston in the mix, such a cool tune!”

The new album comprises 12 tracks. It is his first album in three years since the 2022 album “Marry Me”.
On the album, Olly Murs has gone back to those heady days and revisited his roots.
Olly Murs said of the album, “This is the first album in years I've made authentically for me – it's daring, fun, a bit bonkers - and the most buzzing I've felt about music in a long time.
