Megan Moroney Releases New Song “Beautiful Things”

American country music singer-songwriter Megan Moroney released a new song “Beautiful Things” on October 24, 2025.
The song is the second single off of her upcoming third studio album, following “6 Months Later” released back in June.
The album is still doesn't have a set release date.
She first performed the song with British singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran at Bluebird Café in Nashville back in March.
Megan Moroney wrote the song for her niece. She explained that she wanted to write a story to protect the young girl from the inevitable challenges she would face later in life.
It was written by Connie Harrington, Jessi Alexander, Jessie Jo Dillon, and Megan Moroney. Produced by Kristian Bush.- Megan Moroney said of the song, “I have a little niece. She just turned two a couple days ago. And I have a nephew, and I love him so much. It's a song that I wrote for my niece, actually. And when she was born, I remember just looking at her and being like, she's so perfect, and I just never want anything sad to happen to her. But there was something about seeing a little baby girl that's like, perfect and angelic. And me just knowing how the world works, one day, she's gonna get older and maybe someone won't invite her to a party or something. I have to write a song that she can listen to it when that happens and she feels no sadness ever. So I know that if I have kids one day, I'm just gonna be a nightmare of a mom just trying to protect my children. Because if this is how I feel about my niece. I just but I wrote her this song so that one day when she grows up and she ever needs it, she has it.”

She told Rolling Stone about the song, “It kind of reminds me of 'Girl in the Mirror's' older sister. My songs are all connected. 'Girl in the Mirror' means a lot to people, and I feel like this one will too. I wish I had this song in high school.”
