Luz Returns With New Song “the minute you're gone”
Irish singer-songwriter Luz returned with a new song “the minute you're gone” along with a music visualiser on October 23, 2025.
It is her first music in two years since the 2023 song “i shouldn't be here”.
As the single, the song follows the alternate version of the 2020 song “the author”, which was released back in July.
She first performed the song at Dublin's Ruby Sessions, along with Aaron Rowe and Lewis Capaldi last month.
The song will appear on her upcoming debut EP, which is expected to be released in Spring 2026.
It was written by Alex O'Shaughnessy, and Luz. Produced by LuzAlex O'Shaughnessy and JMAC.- Luz said of the song, “'he minute you're gone' is about a time when I made a big mistake that nearly ruined my relationship with my partner. In this song, I am apologising and desperately hoping that she gives me a second chance. This song is the feeling of sadness and regret but also the hope that I'll be forgiven.”
