Demi Lovato Performs “Here All Night” & Cover of Lady Gaga's “Disease/Perfect Celebrity” on BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge
American singer-songwriter Demi Lovato appeared on BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge to perform “Here All Night” and a cover of American singer-songwriter Lady Gaga's mashup “Disease/Perfect Celebrity”.
This marks her third appearance as a musical guest on BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge, following appearances in 2015 and 2017.
“Here All Night” was released from her upcoming ninth studio album “It's Not That Deep” last month.
The album is set to be released this Friday (October 24th).
The track was written by Alna Hofmeyr, Brett McLaughlin, Demi Lovato, Kevin Hickey, and Sarah Hudson. Produced by Zhone.
Demi Lovato said of the song, “'Here All Night' is a breakup song I wrote by channeling a character, and it was so freeing to step into someone else's story. From the moment we finished the song, I knew it needed to be a dance video. It's about dancing through heartbreak. It's raw and empowering, with a playful, voyeuristic point of view.”- “Disease” and “Perfect Celebrity” were featured on Lady Gaga's sixth studio album “Mayhem”, which was released back in March.
Demi Lovato told BBC Radio 1 about two songs, “I fell in love with the Mayhem album that Lady Gaga came out with. And she's just so incredible that I wanted to cover her songs for this. I have such a fun time singing them.” -
The new album “It's Not That Deep” comprises 11 tracks, produced by Zhone. It is her first album in three years since the 2022 album “Holy Fvck”.
She spoke to BBC Radio 1 about the album, “I'm just having fun. The whole purpose of this album is called, 'It's Not That Deep'. And I didn't take my songwriting approach too seriously. I wrote about fun, sexy topics, and there were some emotional ones, but for the most part, it's a departure from what I usually write about, which is, like these deeply personal songs that are emotionally heavy.
