  • HAIM Releases Deluxe Edition of “I quit”

  • American pop rock band HAIM, consisting of Alana Haim (vocals/guitar), Danielle Haim (vocals/drums) and Este Haim (vocals/bass), released the deluxe edition of their fourth studio album “I quit” on October 17, 2025.

The deluxe edition comprises 18 tracks, including the original 15 songs and 3 new songs, featuring a guest appearance from American indie folk band Bon Iver. Produced by Rostam Batmanglij, Danielle Haim, and Justin Vernon.
The collaboration with Bon Iver came about when Danielle Haim was featured on “If Only I Could Wait”, a track from Bon Iver's fifth studio album “SABLE, fABLE”, released back in April.

The band told Jack Saunders of BBC Radio 1 about the deluxe edition, “I think that we just wanted to give the people that like our music like a little treat before the end of the year. I think that like these three songs kind of embody, just like the final exclamation point for the end of 'I quit'.”
  • The band added, “Three new tracks on I quit, out now. One special collab with Bon Iver, one called 'The story of us' which is one of our favorites on the whole record, and another called 'Even the bad times' which was one of the earliest songs we wrote. Hope you guys love these as much as we do.”

  • The band spoke to Jack Saunders about tow songs.

“Tie you down” featuring Bon Iver
“He is just so incredible to get into the studio with. we originally got in the studio because he had said he liked women in music part three, and I've always been such a fan, and I we just, like, never really met before. And so we got into the studio and it was just kind of like, immediately we were just writing a bunch of stuff, and that's where most of the stuff on 'SABLE, fABLE' came from. And then when we were in the studio working on 'I quit'. He came in and we wrote that song, like, in a day, and it just, he's just so talented.
We love the best. He's such a genius, and like to have him be a part of this album was such an honor. And we've been holding on to the song for so long. And we've been playing it to, like, our friends and family, and they're like, 'You need to put this out now.' And it's so amazing that it's now out in the world. You can listen to it. We've been really just happy that it's that's here for you, here for you all.”

    “Even the bad times”
“Don't call your ex after listening to it, just don't call your ex. Nostalgia is crazy, but don't call your ex. Having it on 'I quit' now. We were so, like, happy to be single. So like running around the city when we were writing 'I quit'. And this was the one song where we got a little soft. It was just a tiny, just the tiniest bit soft on our exes, and I was. That's why I probably didn't make it on the original. But it's still a good one. It's like a warm, like cuddly sweater.”
