Friction Premieres New Song “Never Know (Love You So)” on BBC Radio 1

British DJ Friction premiered a new song “Never Know (Love You So)” on BBC Radio 1's New Music Show with Jack Saunders.
The song samples American soul singer Sandra Richardson's 1971 song “I Feel a Song (in my heart again)”.
It was written by Conrad Yan Williams Lee, Edward William Keeley, and Rhett Yan Williams-Lee. Produced by Friction.
The track follows the collaborative song Interstellar with British DJ Circadian, which was released back in August.
Friction told Jack Saunders about the song, “This is a sample originally from a Sandra Richardson tune from 1971. It was kind of like an idea that I had on the way to a studio session. And the original track, the Sandra Richard track came on just rounded me on my Spotify. And I've been working with a singer called Blythe, who is unreal. And at the end of the session, I was like, 'had a little idea, would you mind singing something for me?' And I played it to her. She was like, 'Flipping it', like, give me an easy one. And to be fair, she absolutely nailed the vocal, and managed to get the tune out. They've been playing it all throughout my tours. And just gets a real it's kind of just trying to find that euphoria.”- He added, “I think, like, a lot of the time with my rules when I'm making music is that may sound a little bit cheesy, but I go with my heart. Like I go with if something feels right, it's like, do it and I could just, literally just have a sample and have an idea going into two or three minutes and just roll it out. Don't think too much about the music. Go with the vibe and all that kind of stuff. It sounds a bit cheesy, but it genuinely has worked for me.”
