ZOCO Releases New Song “Diamond In The Rough”
International rock band ZOCO, led by Swiss-Italian-American singer-songwriter Marco Zocco, released a new song “Diamond In The Rough” on October 17, 2025.
The song is their second single, following the debut song “Restless” released last month.
Both songs will appear on their upcoming debut EP “LUMANISTA (Part 1)”, which is set to be released in January 2026.
The EP is part one of their two-part debut album “LUMANISTA”.

It was written by Marco Zocco, Matteo Zocco, and Paolo Zocco. Produced by Gunnar Nelson, Marco Zocco, Jake Pace, and Kerry Brown.
The track features Guy Erez on bass, London Hudson on drums, and Nelson on backing vocals.
The band has already filmed a music video for the song in Milan, Italy, which is coming soon.- Marco Zocco said of the song, “I've always been drawn to chiaroscuro–the balance of light and dark. This track embodies that contrast: it's like a moonlit, breezy, romantic night with dark and bittersweet undertones. 'Diamond' was actually the first song Paolo and I played for Kerry Brown in its demo form–just acoustic, and was the first one we recorded at Licorice Pizza Records. The opening riff and verse instrumental hook came very quickly–it was one of those songs that just flowed. From there, everything else was built to support those moments and give it a lullaby-like quality. With so much instrumentation spanning the high and low ranges, I'm proud that it still feels spacious and dreamlike. I remember driving and hearing an Eddie Vedder–esque chorus in my head-it fit perfectly with my baritone and attack, and the Nelsons then contrast it beautifully with their responses and stacked harmonies. The song captures romance, light and darkness, and those unmistakable '90s tones across its sonic canvas.”
