Sabrina Carpenter Performs “Manchild” & “Nobody's Son” on Saturday Night Live

American singer-songwriter Sabrina Carpenter appeared on Saturday Night Live to perform “Manchild” and “Nobody's Son”.
This marks her third appearance as a musical guest on Saturday Night Live. She was last on SNL back in February during the 50th anniversary special, joining American singer-songwriter Paul Simon for a rendition of Simon and Garfunkel's “Homeward Bound”.
Both songs of “Manchild” and “Nobody's Son” were featured on her seventh studio album “Man's Best Friend”, which was released in August 2025.
“Manchild” was written by Amy Allen, Jack Antonoff, and Sabrina Carpenter. Produced by Jack Antonoff and Sabrina Carpenter.
Sabrina Carpenter Saido the song, “I wrote Manchild on a random tuesday with amy and jack not too long after finishing short n' sweet and it ended up being the best random tuesday of my life. Not only was it so fun to write, but this song became to me something I can look back on that will score the mental montage to the very confusing and fun young adult years of life. It sounds like the song embodiment of a loving eye roll and it feels like a never ending road trip in the summer!”- “Nobody's Son” was Amy Allen, John Ryan, and Sabrina Carpenter. Produced by Jack Antonoff, John Ryan, and Sabrina Carpenter.
This time, she sang “He sure fucked me up” during her performance, but the word was edited out for the West Coast broadcast and on YouTube.
She said of the song, “There is a generation who gets offended about what I do and it's a generation that has either young children, or they've raised children and they're sort of looking at it from a different point in their life, scolding; we're all just judgmental. I'm not allowed to have sex but you are?” - source : NBC
