downcast Announces New EP “nothing left to give”, Shares Title Track featuring Dream State's Jessie Powell

Bristo-based alt-rock band downcast, consisting of Liam Edwards (vocals), Ben Lucas (guitar/vocals), Jeff Bowyer (bass) and Sam Harbridge (drums), has announced their upcoming EP “nothing left to give” will be released on November 27, 2025.
The EP is their first project in a year since the 2024 EP “WTF HAPPENED???” and comprises 4 tracks, featuring guest appearances from Welsh rock band Dream State's Jessie Powell and Liverpool-based pop punk band WSTR's Sammy Clifford.
From the EP, the band released the title track on October 16, 2025.
The song is the second single off, following a cover of American vocal group Backstreet Boys' “just want you to know” released last month.
On the track, the band teamed up with Dream State's lead singer Jessie Powel.
It was written by Ben Lucas, Jeff Bowyer, Liam Edwards, and Sam Harbridge. Produced by Josh Gallop.
The accompanying music video was directed by GLK Media.- The band frontman Liam Edwards said of the song, “This song is about how the constant struggles of life have, at times, left me feeling unrecognisable to myself. I find that the modern expectations of us as humans can often feel comparable to selling your soul. Life moves so fast that you rarely get a chance to pause and reflect, but during the times that I've been able to do so, I've often found myself asking “What am I even doing it for?”
