Erin LeCount Releases New Song “MACHINE GHOST”
London-based singer-songwriter Erin LeCount released her brand new song “MACHINE GHOST” on October 15, 2025.
The song was accompanied by the Sam Taylor-Edwards-directed music video.
The track is the follow-up to “808 HYMN”, which was released last month.
It was written and produced by Erin LeCount. The track explores dissociation.
Erin LeCount said of the song, “'MACHINE GHOST' is song about dissociation, the feeling of separation from your body in everyday life, at parties and the most intimate moments. It’s about going to extreme lengths to try and evoke some feeling again, no matter what it takes and what risk it involves, seeking cheap thrills and painful pleasure. An observation of my own body, relationships and my take on what it means to be both the ghost, and the machine.”- She continue, “This is my favourite thing I have made so far. And I don’t say that lightly. Writing this song was like opening window into how it feels to float outside my own body, to be entirely separate from myself. At parties, at shows, in the most intimate moments. Asong about being unable to move. a song about when you can’t clean the cups from your room. A song about dissociation and sex and bodies and vacancy and moments of your life blacked out - wanting to feel anything at all and finding it in all the wrong places, in risk and pain and pleasure. A page of my journal ripped out and strung over vocoders.”
