British post-punk band Yard Act premiered a new song “Pour Another” on BBC Radio 1's Future Sounds with Clara Amfo.
The song is taken from their upcoming debut album “The Overload”.
It was written by James Smith, Ryan Needham and Sam Shjipstone. Produced by Ali Chant.
Frontman James Smith told Clara Amfo about the song, “It's kinda it's a party song about the end of the party about when you don't want to let go that good moment. You know, it's sort of it's hard to give up in a good pie at that part in the party where everyone is with each other and everyone's feeling good. Those are the special times and we don't want to let go of them.”
The debut album is set to be released on January 21, 2022 and comprises 11-track.
He said of the album, “He (Elton John) rang me up. That was quite funny. We record the album sort of early last year. So we kind of been living with it for a year and I don't feel like it's mine anymore. I'm ready for it to fly and be for people to make of it what they want to compare to the culture and see what happens to the album looks at society and looks at people as a way for me to learn more about why I'm the way I am and why my brain works the way it does.
