Donate to support families affected by the crisis in Ukraine ➔ JÁNA Releases New Song “Lotus”
Stockholm based singer-songwriter JÁNA unveiled a new song “Lotus” on May 27th from her upcoming debut EP “Flowerworks”.
Jazz-inflected R&B song was co-written and produced by Little Dragon drummer Erik Bodin. The idea for the song originally sprang from a conversation JÁNA had with a friend about the issues they face when presenting themselves.
JÁNA described, “My friend and I spoke about only being loved when showing off the 'final product', or 'the perfect version of yourself'. The Lotus is a flower that blooms in the most ugliest places. It can be seen as a metaphor to allow people to grow - something beautiful might grow from a less than beautiful situation.”
The EP is set to be released on July 3, 2020.- source : Meow Mag
