Trumaine Lamar Releases New EP “Songs From Earth”: Streaming
Florida-based alt-pop singer-songwriter Trumaine Lamar released his third EP “Songs From Earth” on May 1st.
The EP contains 5-track, featuring guest appearance from Jarian. Produced by OhRich!. All songs were written by Trumaine Lamar.
The sound is R&B and adult contemporary vibe with his smooth soulful and slightly jazzy vocals.
The EP is inspired by the COVID-19 pandemic. Trumaine Lamar shared on social media, “We are living in some crazy times during this pandemic and it inspired me. This collection of songs is a result of that inspiration. Thank you to my bro Richard Douglas for agreeing to do this with me!!! Shout out to Ryan Copeland for one of the interludes. Shout out to Jonathan Weaver for mastering everything and mixing a joint as well as Blake the Alian and Mike Pizza Piazza. I'm grateful to God for the ability to create art and will make sure I do it as long as he allows me too.”- Trumaine Lamar was born in Nebraska. A chance encounter with his brother's friend's keyboard would lead to Trumaine Lamar producing his first track at the age of 13.
Since then, he always finds a way to express a part of himself through his lyrics and creates a personal style with relatable lyrics and hot production to match.
"I may not have experienced all of these circumstances first hand, but my subjects are always things that I feel, have seen, or crossed my mind at some point in time," he said. "I have a vivid imagination, and have always loved fantasy, so that comes across through my music. I also have a heart for the human spirit, in that I empathize with a lot of different situations people go through, so that too comes across through my music." - source : SoundCloud
