Donate to support families affected by the crisis in Ukraine ➔ OneRepublic Releases New Song “Somebody To Love” from NBC's Songland
American pop band OneRepublic chose the song “Somebody To Love” from the show “Songland” with their episode being the Season 1 finale that aired on September 11, 2019 on NBC.
The original song was written by JT Roach, who presented it on the show.
“Pretty incredible to be on the show and sing for Ryan and Zack [of OneRepublic]. You know I’ve listened to their music for years so it was just an incredible experience,” JT Roach tells NBC15 in an interview. “That’s really the magic of songwriting, is these moments where you have an idea for a song or a starting point of a song, and somebody with experience or with less experience, has an idea that can take it to the next level,” he says. “Everyone in the room can feel the energy when that idea happens, you can see how it changes the song.”
OneRepublic first performed the song at their 2019 concerts at the Red Rocks Amphitheater featuring the Colorado Symphony on August 27th and 28th.
The band released the third single "Wanted" and the music video for it from their forthcoming album a couple of days ago.- 1qdo91-z7EQ
