New York-based rock band Vampire Weekend released their forth studio album “Father of the Bride” on May 2019 via Columbia Records. It is their first major debut album and their first LP in six years.
The album reached No. 1 on the US Billboard 200 and No. 2 on the UK Albums chart.
From the album, the band released “This Life” as the third single, and dropped the music video for “This Life” directed by Emmett Malloy.
The clip stars Kyle Field of the band Little Wings as Wade, who played an Uber-driver. Also the video features Danielle Haim, Ariel Rechtshaid, Mark Ronson, Simi and Haze and Vampire Weekend frontman Ezra Koenig.
The band performed the song with Haim on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on May 8th.
Ezra Koenig said, “I started to think […] what does it mean to be an adult even in a situation when two people have done something wrong? You bite the bullet and say: ok you cheated on me, I cheated on you, but I can only start with myself. […] Actually I have been cheating through my whole life.
