American actress Elle Fanning debuted a cover of Swedish singer-songwriter Robyn’s “Dancing On My Own” from her upcoming musical film “Teen Spirit”.
The film premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 7, 2018. Directed by Max Minghella, starring Elle Fanning, Rebecca Hall, and Zlatko Burić.
Elle Fanning played as Violet Valenski, who dreams of pop stardom as an escape from her dismal surroundings and shattered family life.

“I was obviously very nervous,” Elle Fanning told Rolling Stone. “I can hold a tune, but to be able to have the stage presence and to get to where I knew Violet needed to go — it was very conscious in my mind that this girl has to win the competition. I had to do something that is believable enough for the audience to say, ‘She did win.’ That was something I was scared about.”
