Donate to support families affected by the crisis in Ukraine ➔ John Legend Premieres New Music Video for “Preach”
American singer-songwriter John Legend has shared his powerful new video for “Preach” directed by Dominique DeLeon.
The video employs YouTube’s new donate/fundraising feature in donations for FreeAmerica. The campaign aims to raise $50,000 in the next year.
FreeAmerica exists to amplify the voices of individuals impacted by the criminal justice system and those who are working to change it.
“The idea behind the song is that sometimes we can get so frustrated by the news and what’s going on and there’s this scatter going on in ourselves,” John Legend said in a statement. “Do we become apathetic? Do we become engaged? Do we just talk about it, or do we do something?”
The track was written by Greg Kurstin, Sarah Aarons and John Legend.- He wrote on YouTube channel, “Sometimes we can get so frustrated by the news and what’s going on and there’s this battle going on in ourselves.
