Canadian singer-songwriter Alessia Cara appeared on The Late Late Show with James Corden, where she performed her latest song “Out of Love”.
Back in November 2018, she released her sophomore album “The Pains of Growing”, in which the song was appeared.
She first performed the song on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon last December.
It was written by Alessia Cara & Rick Nowels. The track is a sad ballad which was inspired by a friend of Cara's who had a breakup.
"Write a song about my breakup. He was like, ‘Listen, I’m not a songwriter, I’m not good at writing. Could you maybe one day ... write a song about somebody falling out of love with you?’” she said. “I played it for my friend and he got very emotional and he was like, ‘Thank you!’ And he actually got back together with the girl after that song.
