  • Miley Cyrus & Mark Ronson Perform “Nothing Breaks Like a Heart” and “Happy Xmas (War Is Over)” on Saturday Night Live

  • American singer-songwriter Miley Cyrus and British producer Mark Ronson appeared on Saturday Night Live on December 15th, where the pair performed their latest song “Nothing Breaks Like a Heart”, and “Happy Xmas (War Is Over)” along with Sean Ono Lennon.

Miley Cyrus and Mark Ronson first performed “Nothing Breaks Like a Heart” on BBC The Graham Norton Show earlier this month.
The song was released with the accompanying music video on November 29th.
Mark Ronson said of the song, "When we came up with the chorus, it felt kind of special. I came up with the chorus with Tommy Brenneck and Ilsey Juber, this fantastic songwriter, and when she said that line – ‘nothing breaks like a heart’ – I was like, ‘That can’t be that no one’s ever said that in the history of songs, right?’ I think they probably looked it up real quick and were like ‘No.’ It’s like what you’re searching for your whole life. I’ve been wanting to work with Miley for so long, and I sent her the little chorus idea and she loved it and she came in and wrote the verses and the bridge."
“Happy Xmas (War Is Over)” was released on December 14th by Miley Cyrus and Mark Ronson, featuring Sean Ono Lennon.
In 1971, John & Yoko/Plastic Ono Band released the song, which is original track is the traditional English ballad "Skewball".
This time John Lennon's son Sean Ono Lennon joined in Miley Cyrus and Mark Ronson's song and performed on SNL.
