Donate to support families affected by the crisis in Ukraine ➔ The Vixen Premieres New Song “Tea Party”
Chicago-based drag performer The Vixen released a new song “Tea Party” on December 11th when it was her 28th birthday.
The song follows up previous song "Room, Pt. 2" featuring Shea Couleé, which was released back in September.
She wrote the song in 2011. Produced by Chicago talent Mike Jones and created by B.Ames.
The Vixen told Billboard about the song, “I was just an androgynous 21-year-old imagining the kind of queen I wanted to be. It’s crazy how the lyrics make more sense now that I’ve done drag for years and I’ve been in the club scene. The metaphors were all fantasy when I wrote it. But now when I hear them, they’re eerily on point with what I know about “partying” that I had no clue about in 2011.”- source : Billboard
