The 1975 Releases New Album “A Brief Inquiry Into Online Relationships”: Stream
- British pop-rock band The 1975 released their long-awaited third studio album “A Brief Inquiry Into Online Relationships” on November 30, 2018.
The album was preceded by five singles "Give Yourself a Try", "Love It If We Made It", "TooTimeTooTimeTooTime", "Sincerity Is Scary" and "It's Not Living (If It's Not with You)".
Back in 2013, the band released the third EP "Music for Cars", which shares its name with the band's third 'era', consisting of two albums.
“A Brief Inquiry Into Online Relationships” is the first chapter within the third era, the second chapter “Notes on a Conditional Form” will be released in May 2019.
The new album comprises of 15-track and was produced by band members Matthew Healy and George Daniel, and is the band's first album to not be produced by regular collaborator, Mike Crossey.
The album features themes of frontman Matt Healy's addiction of heroin and his recovery.
“I don’t have things that I want to write about that aren't exactly what I feel day by day,” Matthew Healy explained. “The problem I have now is that this is my truth, and I feel like I can’t negotiate properly with the world if I can’t tell the truth.”
The LP has diversity the likes of pop, cinematic, jazz and rock sound.
The band will embark on the World Tour in support of the album. The tour takes place in UK, and Ireland in January , North America in March, Europe in June, and Australia in September.
