- British rock band The 1975 appeared on BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge, where the band performed their latest song “It's Not Living (If It's Not with You)” and Ariana Grande's “thank u, next”.
“It's Not Living (If It's Not with You)” was released from their upcoming third studio album "A Brief Inquiry into Online Relationships" on October 18th.
The song depicts Matty Healy’s struggle with heroin addiction.
Frontman Matty Healy said of the song, “I don’t have things that I want to write about that aren’t exactly what I feel day by day. The problem I have now is that this is my truth, and I feel like I can’t negotiate properly with the world if I can’t tell the truth.”
The new album is out November 30th.
“thank u, next” was released by Ariana Grande from her upcoming fifth studio album of the same name on November 3rd.
She performed the song live for the first time on the Ellen show on November 6th.
“She’s had a right old tough time and I like her a lot,” Matty Healy said. “I think she’s cool. And she’s got a great voice. And I don’t. So I’m gonna sing one of her songs.”
