Charlotte-based all-female metal band Reason|Define has dropped a new music video for “Pointing Fingers”.
The video was premiered exclusively on Metal Nexus.
Last month, the song was released from their upcoming sophomore album “In Memory…”, which is expected to be released in early 2019.
The video was directed by Austin Huelsbeck at Black Static Images, follows a young woman who is entwined in a toxic texting-based relationship.
Reason|Define is composed of Paolina Massaro (Vocals), Caitlin Rutkowski (Bass and Vocals), Sav Ruff (Guitar and Vocals), Syd McVicker (Drums) and Shelby McVicker (Guitar).
The song's lyrics reflect the cinematic story in the video. “‘Pointing Fingers’ is the debut single from our upcoming sophomore album, ‘In Memory…’”, Caitlin Rutkowski said of the song. “As a band, we believe that it is important to confront issues that we are passionate about. One of those issues is the sexual harassment of women in different ways throughout today’s society. Writing this song was an outlet to try to understand the harassment we have personally experienced as women. ‘Pointing Fingers’ is our way of standing in front of our demons, looking them in the eyes, and saying, 'enough is enough!'”
Reason|Define will perform at Live for Music Masquerade AFSP Benefit Show in Charlotte on December 14th, along with EdensKiss, Venus Invictus and Inviolate.
