Little Mix Releases New Album “LM5”: Stream
British girl group Little Mix released their fifth studio album “LM5” on November 16, 2018.
The album is the first album under their new label RCA UK and Columbia Records after leaving Simon Cowell's record label Syco Music. And it is their first LP in two years.
The album comprises of 14-track (deluxe edition 18-track), featuring guest appearances from Nicki Minaj, Sharaya J and Kamille. Ed Sheeran and Jessica Glynne contributed the song "Woman Like Me".
Little Mix worked with the producers for the album, the likes of Chris Loco, Goldfingers, MNEK, Loosechange, Mike Sabbath, TMS, Michael Woods, Steve Mac, The Six, Louis Bell, Joe Kearns, Timbaland, Angel Lopez, Federico Vindver, Electric, Trevor Dahl, Digital Farm Animals, and Maegan Cottone.
Group's member Jade Thirlwall said of the album, “For this record, I guess we were just feeling a bit more ballsy. We’ve gained confidence as writers over the years, and for this album in particular we definitely wanted to have strong messages about female empowerment and being a woman. We keep saying this is the album we’ve always wanted to make.”
In addition to pop sound, the album features hip-hop sound such as "Woman Like Me", "Strip", "Joan of Arc", "Love a Girl Right" and "Wasabi".
Also featuring its influenced from latin music, "Think About Us" and "Motivate". In addition, featuring reggae sound, "American Boy".- source : Billboard
