American singer-songwriter Noah Kahan has dropped a new music video for “False Confidence”.
Back in January, he released his debut EP “Hurt Somebody” including smash hit single, featuring Julia Michaels, of the same name. Followed by, folk-tinged anthem “Come Down” was released in June.
Noah Kahan said of the song, “False Confidence” is the second single of the 2018, following “Come Down”. It was written by Noah Kahan and Chris DeStefano.
“[This] is a song I wrote when I felt like I was trying too hard to be what I thought an artist should be.”
The video was directed by Jesse DeFlorio, who crafted footage that Noah Kahan is looking for his identity with his music.
“I felt like I was losing my identity in trying to reach for some unattainable picture of a successful person; confident, polished, secure,” he said. “I wrote ‘False Confidence’ to remember not to take myself so seriously.”- source : Idolator
