Donate to support families affected by the crisis in Ukraine ➔ Maggie Rogers Performs “Light On” & “Fallingwater” on Saturday Night Live
American singer-songwriter Maggie Rogers appeared on Saturday Night Live, where she performed “Light On” and “Fallingwater”.
This marks the first time she has been the musical guest on the sketch show.
Both songs will appear on her upcoming third album "Heard It in a Past Life", which is set to be released on January 18, 2019.
“Light On” is her lates song and was written by Kid Harpoon and Maggie Rogers.
She said of the song on Twitter, "This is a song about gratitude. it’s the most vulnerable I've ever felt in a song. It’s about how overwhelmed + scared I was during all that change, but mostly about all the light you gave me when I couldn’t always find it for myself."
“Fallingwater” began as a demo in November 2016. Months later, she finished writing and producing the track in several sessions with former Vampire Weekend member Rostam Batmanglij.
The song was released May 23, 2018.-
