American EDM-pop duo The Chainsmokers teamed up with American country pop singer-songwriter Kelsea Ballerini.
Both artists unveiled a new song “This Feeling” from the duo's sophomore album "Sick Boy...This Feeling".
The duo co-wrote the song with Emily Warren, who co-wrote duos' singles "My Type", "Side Effects", "Don't Say" and "Until You Were Gone", to date.
The duo recruited Kelsea Ballerini for the song in 2018 and tweeted "Kelsea you think they're ready?". Ballerini replied, “It’s like you’re READING MY MIND. I’m in.”
This marks the first time they have collaborated together. Ballerini and The Chainsmokers said about the collaboration to Zane Lowe's Beats 1.
“When we sent her this song, it was like, she wrote us back right away and was like, ‘I f—ing love it. I’m in.’ Everything’s been super fun.” Alex Pall said. “I feel like you look at her and you smile. She’s such a happy person.”
“It’s my dream collab is to work with these guys,” Ballerini said. “I love that they write their stuff. They’re songwriters, which I relate to so much and respect a whole lot. I love their stuff.”- source : Rolling Stone
