Gucci Mane, Bruno Mars and Kodak Black Premiere New Song “Wake Up In The Sky”
American rapper Gucci Mane recruited American singer-songwriter Bruno Mars and American rapper Kodak Black for a new song “Wake Up In The Sky”.
Bruno Mars produced the song and co-wrote with Kodak Black and Gucci Mane.
The song is taken from Gucci Mane's upcoming 13th studio album "Evil Genius", which is expected to be released later this year.
Gucci Mane and Bruno Mars reunited on the new song, in the past, they collaborated for Bruno Mars' album "24K Magic" track “That’s What I Like” remix.
For Kodak Black, the song is his first music after releasing from prison on August 18th. He was arrested inside of his Pembroke Pines, Florida home in January 2018 on multiple charges.- Gucci Mane said of the new album in an interview with Apple Music’s Zane Lowe.
“I really just been compiling a bunch of songs, listening to beats,” he said. “I went in with Metro [Boomin], I did a bunch of songs with Southside, C.N.O.T.E. [I] just really wanted to just have a chance to almost make a mixtape worth of songs with all the producers that I like. I picked maybe, like, 60 or 70 songs. I usually just take 20 songs and put them out, but this time I really recorded a bunch of songs and then picked through them.” - source : Rolling Stone
