Rina Sawayama Premieres New Music Video for “Cherry”
Japanese-British singer-songwriter Rina Sawayama has unveiled a new music video for “Cherry” directed by Isaac Lock.
She worked with her frequent collaborator and producer Clarence Clarity to create a smooth and bright slice of R&B-pop. It was written by Rina Sawayama and Hoost.
The song is the second single of the 2018, following the previusly released single "Valentine (What's It Gonna Be)".
She came out as as both bisexual and pansexual back in August, “I’ve always written songs about girls. I don’t think I’ve ever mentioned a guy in my songs, and that’s why I wanted to talk about it,” she said. “I just think the reason why I wasn’t so comfortable with my sexuality was because there was no one on TV or anywhere that I could point to.”
Rina Sawayama debuted with the single "Sleeping in Waking" in 2013. Last October, he released her debut album "RINA".
Also she has worked as a model, who signed to to Anti Agency and Elite Model Management, and has featured in numerous publications including Pop, i-D, Dazed, Idol, Hunger, Schon and Nylon Japan magazine.- source : Pitchfork
