John Hiatt Premieres New Song “Over The Hill”
American singer-songwriter John Hiatt will release his 23rd studio album "The Eclipse Sessions" on October 12, 2018.
On September 7th, he unveiled a new song “Over The Hill” from the new album. It perfectly encapsulates that stripped-down trio vibe.
John Hiatt said of the song, “‘Over The Hill’ suggests that if an old man is not the same man, then he could also possibly be a brand new man.”
The album comprises of 11-track and produced by Kevin McKendree (Delbert McClinton), featuring his longtime drummer Kenneth Blevins and bassist Patrick O’Hearn, along with then-16-year-old Yates McKendree, who played additional guitar and engineered the LP.
The album is his first LP since 2014’s "Terms of My Surrender".
John Hiatt will hit the road in support of the new album in the coming months. The tour kicks off at House of Blues New Orleans in New Orleans on October 20th.
