American rapper Logic has shared the seven-minute new music video for “One Day” with a powerful political message.
The song features OneRepublic's Ryan Tedder, who co-wrote the song with Logic. It was released last month.
The video was directed by Andy Hines, who previously helmed Logic’s video for “1-800-273-8255”, starring Luis Guzmán, Judy Reyes and Michael Peña.
The “One Day” video follows the lives of two children. A Mexican teenager separated from his family at the border of the United States, later getting adopted by a white family. While, a white American boy is living with his hard-working family, who believes in values the American flag and what it represents.
As they grow older, their lives take different paths before eventually converging in an unexpected way.
Logic said of the song, "This one is for everyone out their with dreams and goals!! Making music is fun, but music with a message is so more important!!! This one is for anyone with a dream."
Logic announced that he has written a novel "Supermarket", which he plans to release sometime in 2018 and to create the film.
The song will appear on his upcoming "Supermarket" soundtrack.- source : Rolling Stone
