- Nicki Minaj Premieres New Music Video for “Ganja Burn”
- American rapper Nicki Minaj released her latest album "Queen" on August 10th. A few days later, her unreleased song "Sorry' was leaked from her latest album on Hot 97. Currently, the leak song was deleted due to copyright.
On August 13th, she premiered a new music video for “Ganja Burn” from the new album. Back in July, the video was leaked online.
Directed by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, who created featuring an Egyptian theme. Also, both directors designed the album cover.
The track is the opening song of the album and was written by J. Reid (Chevi Music), Jairus ‘J-Mo’ Mozee and Nicki Minaj.
When the album was released, the song title was " "Ganga Burns". But she made a typo when registering the track title for release making “Burn” plural (Burns). Because, she had been sleep deprived. She had called it “Ganja Burns” instead of “Ganja Burn,” as it was originally intended to be called.
According to Minaj, “Ganja Burn” is her favourite track on the album. However, she expressed a willingness to make a change on the track.
She tweeted, "Just listened to #GangaBurns after a long day & realized that I hate how low I made the hook. Gotta get it swapped out. That’s like my fave song & I can’t let it go out like that. Plus I was so sleep deprived I wrote burns instead of burn when they were stressing me 4 tracklist"
