- Taylor Swift and Bryan Adams Perform “Summer of '69” at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto
- American singer-songwriter Taylor Swift and Canadian musician Bryan Adams performed “Summer of '69” during Swift’s Reputation Tour at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto on August 4, 2018.
She previously performed an acoustic “Summer of ’69” on a few dates of her Speak Now Tour in September 2011.
Before performance, she said to 40,000 fans, “It’s just one of my favorite songs ever written -- it’s not one of mine, but I was wondering, like, you guys have been singing so loud all night, but I really wanted to see how loud it could be, right?”
“Summer of '69” was released by Bryan Adams in 1984, from his fourth album "Reckless".
The song reached No. 5 on the US Billboard Hot 100. It was written by Bryan Adams and Jim Vallance.
Taylor Swift wrote on Instagram, "I didn’t even know Bryan was gonna be in town until last night and I asked him completely last minute if he wanted to come sing!! Pretty evident from the videos (um yes I’m posting another one) that I’m FULLY LOSING IT with excitement, and I can’t thank @bryanadams enough."
