Maddie & Tae Premieres New Music Video for “Friends Don't”
- Oklahoma-Texas country music duo Maddie & Tae dropped a new music video for “Friends Don't”.
The song was written by Justin Ebach, Maddie & Tae and Jon Nite. The 22-year-old pair's first music in two years.
The video was shot in Nashville, Tennessee, and was directed by TK McKamy, who previously filmed two music videos for the duo's debut single "Girl in a Country Song" and third single "Shut Up and Fish", as well.
Taylor Dye said of the song in a statement;
“To us ‘Friends Don’t’ feels sexy and confident, but with a dash of that uncertainty you have at the start of a relationship because you don’t know if the other person feels the same way you do. We wanted to play off that push and pull we’ve all felt before."
Madison Marlow added;
"We both got to do a little acting and play out separate storylines with a love interest. It was pretty outside of the box for us to act, so we just tried to have fun with it."
- Maddie & Tae was formed in 2010, consisting of Madison Marlow and Taylor Dye. The duo released a debut album "Start Here" in 2015.
The duo will appear on some festivals this summer including Festival of the River on August 11th, Lapeer Days on August 17th, Septemberfest Festival on September 2nd and Country Night- Gstaad on September 8th.
