Jim Lauderdale Premieres New Song “Wearing Out Your Cool”
American singer-songwriter Jim Lauderdale will release new album "Time Flies" on August 3rd, following "London Southern".
From the album, a new song “Wearing Out Your Cool” was premiered exclusively on Rolling Stone.
The song is the second single off following the album title tune.
The track is based on rhythmic guitar riff and smooth sax like Jazz sound, blending Jim Lauderdale's vocals and female backing vocals.
The album comprises of 11-track and is his first release LP through Yep Roc Records. Back in April, he signed to Yep Roc Records.
On the new album release day, Yep Roc Records plans to release "Jim Lauderdale and Roland White", which is Lauderdale's unreleased first album, featuring mandolin master Roland White. The album was recorded in Earl Scruggs' basement in 1979, and the songs were only found recently by White's wife.
Jim Lauderdale embarked on North American Tour at Hughs Room in Toronto on July 18th. The tour takes place through to October.
