New York based singer-songwriter Yify Zhang, aka YIFY has released a new song "Waste" along with a music video, directed by Lambkini. The video was premiered exclusively on CelebMix.
The song was written by Yify Zhang, produced, engineered and mixed by Julie Kathryn, and mastered by Jeff Liptin.
The track is cinematic-pop sound like French electronic music project M83.
Yify Zhang debuted with her first single "Morning Sun" in 2017. The song was selected as a semi-finalist in the 2017 International Songwriting Competition.
Originally, she was violinist. A spinal injury in the neck however, prevented a profession in classical violin.
She began to song-write since 2015 and posted the songs to SoundCloud. Her music is inspired from singer-songwriters Sara Bareilles, Sia and instrumental composer Max Richter.
In 2018, she released a debut EP "VAGRANT BIRD".-
