Donate to support families affected by the crisis in Ukraine ➔ Good Charlotte Premieres New Music Video fro “Shadowboxer”
American rock band Good Charlotte dropped a new song “Shadowboxer” along with a new music video directed by Jake Stark.
The song is second singlee off of their upcoming seventh studio album "Generation Rx", which is se to be released on September 14, 2018. The track recieved its first play during Zane Lowe's Beats 1 show.
At the same time, the band announced that they will be headlining a benefit festival for the victims of last month’s Capital Gazette shooting that killed five people.
The festival takes place on July 28 in Annapolis, Maryland.
“I don’t know what we can bring to it, other than we just want to be involved in supporting the city,” frontman Joel Madden told the Capital Gazette. “Obviously, we’re all shocked [from the shooting]. We’re all kind of speechless. These are moments when you really don’t know what to do to help.”- eJZ9cHzzxOA
The band said of the video in a statement;
"A solitary look at what appear to be everyday people confronting the pain and struggle that is reflected back at them as they look at themselves the mirror."
The band aims to raise awareness for the stigma of mental health issues, which forces many to suffer without help.
Good Charlotte will embark on their North American Tour in support of the album, kicking off on Octtober 12 in Mexico City, and wrapping up on November 24 in Las Vegas.
