A singer-songwriter Juke Ross came from the small country of Guyana on the Northern Mainland of South America, who released a new song “Fresh Roses”.
Last year, his debut EP "Grey" was released, the new song follows up it.
He began songwriting to be inspired from John Mayer. “I was listening to a lot of John Mayer. So, I picked up the guitar. It went really well. I was covering a lot of my favorites. I tried to write after that.”
He created “Colour Me”, in which is with organic tones, breezy strumming, and soulful vocals.
The track quietly transformed into an online sensation and racked up 500K streams on Spotify. Then he signed to Republic Records, relocating to New York.
Juke Ross said of the song;
“Like a Fresh Rose needs rain and nurturing so does new love. The song is about being caught in the space between trying to latch on to the bliss of new love while escaping the sting of the past.”- source : Vents Magazine
