Panic! At The Disco Premieres New Song “King of the Clouds” on Apple Beats 1
- Las Vegas-based rock band Panic! At The Disco releases their upcoming sixth studio album "Pray for the Wicked" on June 22, 2018.
On June 18th, the fourth single “King of the Clouds” was unveiled from the album on Zane Lowe's Beats 1 radio show.
Frontman Brendon Urie recruited over friends for the song as songwriters such as Sam Hollander (previous collaborator), Jake Sinclair (Death Of A Bachelor producer), Morgan Kibby (White Sea), Suzy Shinn and Kenny Harris (Panic! touring guitarist).
Brendon Urie said;
“They came over one day, and I think I got everyone too hig. There was a big lull, a pregnant silence, and I was like, ‘Hey, do you guys know about the 11th dimension?’ [Laughs.] I went into this whole thing about being in the third dimension peering in on the second dimension, the fourth dimension looking in on the third…and showed them this Carl Sagan video. [Sam left], and I didn’t see him for like five days. Finally he comes back over and says, ‘All right, I’ve got some lyrics for you.’ I was like, ‘Dude, you talked about our weed mental breakdown. That’s awesome!’”
The new album comprises of 11-track, which is their first LP since 2016's "Death of a Bachelor".
The band embarks on a massive North American arena tour in support of the album next month, with a second leg kicking off in January 2019.
