Gorillaz Premieres New Song “Fire Flies”
British virtual band Gorillaz unveiled a new song “Fire Flies” from their upcoming sixth studio album "The Now Now".
The track was written by Remi Kabaka, James Ford and Damon Albarn.
The song follows up "Humility" with George Benson, whom music video featuring Jack Black.
The new album comprise of 11-track and recorded in February at London's Studio 13, Gorillaz producing alongside James Ford and Remi Kabaka. Featuring guest appearances from George Benson, Snoop Dogg and Jamie Principle.
Frontman Damon Albarn said of producer James Ford, "He's 'sense police', he likes everything to make sense. Traditionally with Gorillaz, I haven't really finished anything off completely, and I've let just the first time I've sung something stick if it felt right; but he was like, 'just make it make a little more sense'. If this record makes any more sense, it's entirely down to him, not me."
The album is out June 29 and the band embarks on a short North American tour in support of the album on October 8th in Toronto.
